Pigmentary disorders are common, have no geographical boundaries and can affect people of all ages. Some common pigmentary conditions include vitiligo, melasma, melanoma skin cancer, post inflammatory hyperpigmention and sun and age-related spots. Pigmentary disorders often carry a significant burden on quality of life and result in stigmatisation. Further education, awareness and research is needed toi mprove the lives of people around the world who live with pigmentary disorders.
The Asian Society for Pigment Cell Research has been supporting education and research into pigmentary disorders for 20 years. We continue to foster collaborative relationships in the Asia Pacific Region to enhance patient care for pigmentary disorders. Key opinion leaders in the Asia-Pacific Region in vitiligo and melasma are active members of the ASPCR Together, we are shaping the future of pigmentary disorders in our region.
